MUST-SEES FOR FAMILIES IN SAINT-TROPEZ

Visit Saint-Tropez with young children

Start with a lazy morning by the pool in your family villa in Saint-Tropez, then hop over to Port Grimaud, just a 20-minute drive away.

This 'Venise provençale' is the slightly mad project of architect François Spoerry, who in the 1960s imagined a lakeside city on the Côte d'Azur. You can take a boat ride between the colourful facades.

Perfect for a day of exploration with children, who can improvise as navigators, armed with a map of the canals. Make a stop at the Glacier de la Plage for an artisanal ice cream, just off the port, before heading out to sea for a sandcastle workshop

Visit Saint-Tropez with teens

During summer, the port of Saint Tropez welcomes sailboats from all over the world. Every year, from the 26th of September to the 6th of October, the Voiles de Saint Tropez joins together the most beautiful boats in the world for a legendary competition.

Start the day off on the right foot by recharging your batteries with a brunch in St Tropez. Afterwards, introduce your teenagers to the joys of sailing and relive your childhood with these princes of the seas, before stopping off for an ice cream at Barbarac and a stroll around the port.

In the early evening, go on a walk around the citadelle. Then, turn your back to the village and head in the direction of the sailor cemetery. This is where the stories of captains, poets and writers from Saint Tropez all mix together. We love the breathtaking view of the sunset!

The best activities with children in Saint-Tropez

What to do in Saint-Tropez with young children?

Fresh air doesn't have to mean walking for hours under the sun with a crying toddler in your arms! Saint-Tropez is as much a paradise for idleness as it is for easy walks along the coast.

Strap on the baby carrier and set off on an adventure from the beach at Ramatuelle. Venerable arches and secret paths punctuate the walk along the coastal path. Hidden coves blend in with the wild vegetation, but the walk is easy and safe! A must for children.

When you return to town, make your way to the Place des Lices, where pétanque competitions rage. Park your stroller in the shade of the trees and get ready for a tournament with the locals. The game is loads of fun for the little ones, and they can even take part with balls their size!

What to do in Saint-Tropez with teens?

With teenagers comes the call of freedom. It's the perfect age to try out a thousand activities and share experiences together. Our favourite adventure? Take the family on a kayak trip to Cap Taillat, a breathtakingly beautiful nature reserve.

Hop in a kayak starting at L'Escalet beach just outside of Ramatuelle and get ready for a good workout. You have to fight the swell, but the reward is worth it: the most stunning white sand beaches on the Cote d'Azur.

Relax on the beach with your feet in the turquoise water that resembles the Bahamas, and wait for the ice cream boat to pull up and start serving out cold treats: a sweet reward after a hard day's work.

Another thrilling idea for teens is hopping aboard a majestic Scottish sailboat called the Moonbeam, designed by famous yacht-architect William Fife III. Take to the waves and polish your tan on deck as you make your way out of the harbour!
