Corsica is the ideal destination for a weekend getaway or a longer holiday. This authentic and untamed piece of land is our favourite destination for this summer, only a few hours by plane from the mainland. The Isle of Beauty is a total change of scenery, from its landscapes to its culinary traditions.
Explore our most beautiful Corsica villas below.
Villa Laela, Porto-Vecchio
Villa Laela is in perfect harmony with nature. The walls disappear to give way to large bay windows on each side of the house, and the sun's rays flood in at all hours of the day. This villa is a jewel of modern architecture, made of wood and concrete. It overlooks the sea, and its exterior makes us want to stay by the infinity pool all day.
Inside, you can enjoy the spacious lounge with its two different settings. On one side, the "summer" living room with sofas facing the view and the immensity of the sea, on the other side, the "winter" living room with a large rounded bench facing the fireplace. The decor is stylish, adorned with contemporary art pieces.
For a day at the beach, head towards Santa Giulia, one of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica, just a few minutes drive from the house. At sunset, enjoy a good Corsican wine with a view of the gulf of Porto-Vecchio, and at nightfall, climb on the rooftop to admire the stars.
Villa Nadia, Ajaccio
Villa Nadia offers absolute luxury with its private beach just a few steps away from the house. Enjoy a morning jog, followed by a yoga session alone on the beach. Then head back to the house for a dip in the infinity pool decorated with azure mosaics. The villa has a Bali feel, with its large terrace of patinated wood, banana leaf-shaped deckchairs and four-poster bed overlooking the turquoise sea. Along the pergola, a climbing ivy has settled in, providing shade for family lunches.
Inside, the furniture is simple and trendy: a beige sofa, a wooden coffee table and objects brought back from all over the world, such as wicker hangers or Asian statuettes. The house combines contemporary Zen and boho-chic touches.
During the day, choose between discovering the Sagone nature reserve, an exceptional site classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site or exploring the creeks of Piana and their red-orange hues. In the evening, enjoy the different terraces for an aperitif, then have a delicious dinner cooked on the barbecue. This house is one of our favourite rental Corsica villas.
Villa Colomba, Propriano
Villa Colomba is a house with modern architecture, unique of its kind amongst the Corsica villas. With its roof covered with vegetation, it blends into the mountains, and from the sea, disappears into nature. This large playground north of Propriano is perfect for large families with its infinity pool of over 25 meters and private access to the beach just a few steps from the house. It is the ideal location to fully enjoy Corsica.
Inside, the furniture is designed with touches of blue and green brought by the sofa cushions and the vases on the shelves. Thanks to the large bay windows, the house is flooded with sunshine all day long. You feel a true holiday atmosphere here, with the large glass table for 10 guests and a well-stocked wine cooler in the kitchen. Each room is a distinct universe, following a colour or print theme, and has its own terrace with a breathtaking view of the sea and the Gulf of Valinco.
Villa A Nepita, Ajaccio
South of Ajaccio, Villa A Nepita is a large house with sleek lines. This villa is made up of a large concrete block supported by bay windows on either side. From the living room and the terrace, the sea view is breathtaking and one of the most astonishing of all our Corsica villas. The house completely dominates the Cala d'Ancone and it feels as though you are alone in the world. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this house is for you.
The terrace is a real beauty. This is where you will spend all your time between the different outdoor lounges: one for lunch, one for reading, one for aperitifs and one for evenings around the fire. When the days are hot, enjoy refreshing dips in the infinity pool.
Inside, the furniture reflects the exterior: pure and modern. You find clean and soothing tones, an open-plan kitchen, a spacious living room with white sofas and a few touches of pastel hues. Here, the atmosphere is boho-chic.
Villa Stazzu, Porto Vecchio
Lost in the maquis north of Porto-Vecchio, Villa Stazzu is a traditional stone house. From the outside, it evokes a Corsican sheepfold but the inside has all the comforts of a modern house. The furniture is made of fine materials, the bookcase is made of natural wood, and the fireplace of steel. The beige and pastel tones warm up the ambience.
Outside, enjoy the heated swimming pool for a few laps and the jacuzzi to relax at the end of the day. To work out, head to the gym. When it's time for an aperitif, everyone gathers around the petanque court. And in the evening, the smell of pizza baking in the oven fills the whole house. Let one of our chefs cook for you, all you have to do is enjoy.
Villa Francesca, Propriano
Villa Francesca exudes tranquility and relaxation with its breathtaking view of the Gulf of Propriano. The branches of two olive trees overhang as if to caress the water of the infinity pool. It is the perfect house to disconnect from the stress of the past few months. The best part is its access to a private beach through a path that winds through the wilderness.
Inside, the interior is dominated by beige and white, making the place soothing. However, it is the exterior that gives the house its charm. The light wood terrace is divided into several areas such as an outdoor dining room and a sitting area with sofas for sipping cocktails.
Explore the archaeological site of Filitosa nearby, considered to be one of the first settlements in Corsica. Stroll through the olive groves dotted with menhirs dating from the Neolithic period, whose inscriptions are still to be deciphered.
