Charming Corsica villas near beach spots in wild Porto-Vecchio
In the south-east of Corsica, Porto-Vecchio is surrounded by wild nature. On one side, the deep blue of the Mediterranean stretches to the horizon; on the other, the chestnut-covered peaks rise to the blue sky. In between, a multitude of heavenly beaches stretch along the coast. From the window of your villa or on the way to the beach, breathe in the fresh sea air and the unmistakeable smell of eucalyptus wood.
Around the wild beach of Cala Verde
This relatively quiet beach, even in summer, is the perfect place to relax away from the crowds. Laze with your family in this hidden paradise, with its white sand and clear water.
Near this semi-wild beach is Villa Marila, nestled in the scrubland. From its large terrace, similar to the deck of a sailboat, you can follow the path of the boats leaving the port of Porto-Vecchio, heading towards Italy and the colourful villages of the Amalfi Coast.
In the heavenly bay of Saint-Cyprien
Unlike the Gulf of Ajaccio or other beaches such as Santa Giulia, the beach of Saint-Cyprien is little known to tourists and the bay has preserved its wild and peaceful side. There are hardly any buildings on the north side, while the south side boasts many shops and restaurants. The bay protects the beach from the waves and makes the place ideal for younger visitors thanks to its calm water.
This bay is home to Villa Cacciafora, perfect for those who love swimming. Here you are surrounded by water. The villa sits directly on the sand of Saint Cyprien beach, and the transparent sea is less than 10 meters from the terrace. At the back, the house is bordered by the salt water pond of Arasu. It is a small corner of paradise for lovers of idleness. The multitude of terraces and the rooftop are perfect for sunbathing with a panoramic view of the peaks.
At the family beach of Palombaggia
Palombaggia is one of the best known and most beautiful beaches in Corsica, and even in the Mediteranean Sea. Here you will find crystal clear and warm water accompanied by a long stretch of fine sand, the shade of large umbrella pines and numerous water sports activities suitable for the whole family.
Villa Cavallu is located on the sandy beach of Palombaggia, immersed in a wild environment. Its gigantic private estate has direct access to the beach. From the house you can admire a magnificent view of the sea, Sardinia and the Cerbicales islands. The outdoor swimming pool is perfect for children, and the indoor pool for relaxing in the evening.
Corsica villas near beach spots in heavenly Bonifacio
There are many seaside villages in Corsica. But Bonifacio is one of the most beautiful. This old town is an invitation to stroll around, to enjoy typical Corsican products and to lounge on white sandy beaches, surrounded by untouched nature, caves and clear, warm water.
Above the beach of Piantarella
The beach of Piantarella has a special charm. The transparent water punctuated by immense rocks reminds us of a beach in the Seychelles, and the vegetation is magnificent and wild. It feels like you are all alone at the end of the world.
At 300 meters from the beach, Villa Lavezza faces the island of Piana. Its garden is almost touching the clear Mediterranean water. This designer house and its warm interior are the perfect place to meet in Corsica with family and friends, as if alone in the world in the middle of the maquis.
On the sports beach of Le Petit Spérone
Wedged between two rocky peaks, the Plage du petit Spérone faces the island of Piana. There is also, 10 minutes away, the Plage du grand Spérone. These two wonders are accessible from the beach of Piantarella.
The two beaches attract windsurfers and kite-surfers with their large, windy but not extreme stretches of water. You can also kayak, stand-up paddle or rent a boat for a sea trip. Even walkers are in paradise: the lagoon is forded across to the small island of Piana.
All in patinated wood, Villa Zéphyr, 400m from the beach of Petit Spérone, seems to be camouflaged in its environment. Its large bay windows open onto the terrace and onto a breathtaking view of the sea and the scrubland. The decoration is exotic and elegant, with its high ornate white ceilings, ethnic carpets and solid wood furniture. Simply take a few steps to plunge into the clear water before heading back to the villa for an afternoon relaxing by the pool.
Luxury Corsica villas near beach spots in Ajaccio
This city where Napoleon Bonaparte was born is surrounded by numerous beaches and wild creeks. The Petit Capo beach is our favourite. The spot, well known by surfers, faces the Sanguinaires Isles. This small beach hidden in a wild setting even has a straw hut for having lunch and is supervised in July and August.
Nearby, Villa Nadia and its bohemian-chic style transports us to Bali. Its patinated wooden terrace overlooks the transparent sea and a private beach. Palm trees, four-poster bed, exotic deckchairs, Zen decoration: it feels like a corner of paradise. In the morning, take a dip in the infinity pool before going to the market of Sagone. After a siesta in the shade, have an aperitif on the private beach, with a view of the setting sun.
