When to visit Verbier

Winter

Winter is without a doubt the best time to visit Verbier. The mountains are draped in a blanket of pristine white snow and winter sports are in full swing. Not only can you enjoy the best of the slopes and snowy activities, you’ll also find all restaurants open and a wealth of holiday events.

Autumn

As the weather begins to cool back down in autumn, Verbier gears up for its high season and starts to reopen its classic attractions. At this time, you can also enjoy the Raclette Festival, showcasing local cheeses and honouring the delicious and hearty winter meals we love to savour in the mountains.

Summer

Summer in the mountains offers visitors a different set of events and activities. Between the months of June and late-August, try your hand at downhill biking, hiking, or swimming in the radiant lakes. You can also visit festivals like the Verbier Classic Music Festival, the Horse Festival, and the Montreaux Jazz Festival, just an hour away.

Spring

In spring, the snow begins to melt as Verbier sheds its winter coat in favour of blossoming flowers and the return of verdant landscapes. As the seasons shift, you can trade your skis for hiking boots and discover your surroundings under a new lens.
