Découvrez l'offre sur mesure

The still mornings in St Tropez town, before the sun scorches and the heat between buzzing throngs of people stifles, are a great time to experience the town's charm. St Tropez is a wonderful place even in the heat, but to see the town slowly stir into its vibrant being in the cool mornings is special.

For this reason, breakfast is a great time for reflection and to appreciate the town when it appears as something that closely resembles the low season, when the town seems to pay tribute to its long-gone history, when it was a slow and steady rustic fishing village. This was a time before Brigitte Bardot and And God Created Woman rightly generated a fascination for the beautiful area.

People watcher's delight at Sénéquier's street-side breakfast

Sénéquier is a well-known St Tropez restaurant where both locals and visitors indulge in long lunches and fun dinners. Its distinctive red facade peers over the road and onto the harbour, where boats, big and small, bob oh-so slightly with the gentle movements of the rippling waters.

Sénéquier has been perched on the harbour since it was founded in 1930. The café has since seen famous artists and writers trickling into the small fishing village for artistic inspiration or to escape the hedonistic lifestyles of the city, before rising to its position of fame since. Despite its popularity it remains committed to its family-centric tradition and the authenticity that saw people attracted to it in the first place.

In the morning, this popular restaurant is quieter. Preside over the harbour from the red director's chair, with a coffee and a sweet or savoury pastry on the matching red table in front of you. From this commanding position, cherish the routines of rousing people while the sun slowly climbs the sky with invigorating force.

Breakfast in St Tropez means breakfast in luxury

Dior Des Lices truly is the lap of luxury. The restaurant, which is attached to the fashion label's house of Dior in St Tropez, is hidden away in the city centre. It is in the town centre, set in a peaceful but vibrant garden. Each item of food is artfully emblazoned with the high-end fashion brand's logo. It is not simply a place to enjoy the delicious and well-presented food, but also to immerse yourself in the culture of high-end fashion through a different medium.

Enjoy the eggs Benedict or sample the extensive menu of sweet treats with a coffee that has boldly been branded with "DIOR" in chocolate on its silky froth. A trip to this restaurant, where French fashion and delicious food come together, for a breakfast in the cool garden would be synonymous with luxury France holidays. There is also a juice bar, where fresh fruits are squeezed and pressed for a healthy start to the day.

Sweet treats for morning meanders

This one is for those who cannot resist a sweet breakfast, but beware the queue may require some patience. La Table Tropézienne is immensely popular, but they do not rush the trusted process to empty the queues. Each tarte tropézienne is crafted with the same amount of care that has been afforded these delicious little cream-filled tarts since the shops inception in 1955.

It is said that Alexandre Micka founded the shop in 1955, the same year Brigitte Bardot and her cast members were shooting And God Created Woman. Bardot visited the shop and suggested to Micka that he call the delicacy La Tarte Tropézienne. The name has stuck and the pastry's popularity grown. In 1973 Micka registered the brand and its recipe. They are a must-try and by no means should they be restricted to typical breakfasting hours. La Tarte Tropézienne shop opened on Place des Lices in 2002.
