A day in the bohemian land of Formentera
The Collection

Formentera is a lot like its big sister Ibiza but in a way that’s ‘same-same but different’. While boasting Ibiza’s crystal clear waters, white-sand beaches, and bohemian charm, it’s much calmer and peaceful, radiating this force of laidback vivacity. Join us on our ideal itinerary on the island where we step into the role of being truly bohemian in Formentera fashion– by wandering, adventuring, and creating unforgettable moments.

6am

Get up early from Villa Lilou and head over to Far de Mola. It’s a deserted lighthouse at the end of the island which is best experienced as the sun rises and while there are a multitude along the island, this one is our favourite. Bring a coffee and a pastry and lay back with your loved ones to experience the magic of the sun as it casts the first light over the island.

10AM

Arrive back at Villa Lilou, and have a yoga and meditation class with our experienced yogi to guide you through the start of the day. Allow yourself to relax and feel at peace and at rest; release stress and let go of your anxieties, reminding yourself that each day is a new day and be grateful for the surroundings and energy that the island brings to you during this holiday.

1pm

Allow us to take care of babysitting the little ones, while you head out to have an adults-only lunch at Es Còdol Foradat. Sitting at the foot of Migjorn beach, this charming chiringuito has become a landmark on the island for festive moments. Sit at the table to enjoy classic Balearic Cuisine with the sound of the waves crashing along the shore and laughter ringing about the whole restaurant. Our must-try is their delicious paella– you can’t go wrong!

4PM

Pick up the kids from the villa and spend the last moments of the afternoon’s summer sun at the peninsula of Ses Illetes. What we love is that its sheer size allows for anyone and everyone to find a quiet hidden spot if you so desire in smaller coves and islets. The almost total absence of commercial facilities means that this long stretch of beach preserves its wild and spartan aspect, so you won’t find any umbrellas or sunbed rentals in sight.

7PM

Head over to Beso Beach, a beach bar that’s rustic while still being glamorous, and luxurious but not pretentious. The palm-lined roof, natural materials and weathered feel lends a rustic charm to it. With its stunning sunset views, it has become one of the most iconic spots to cap off your day barefoot in the sand.

9PM

An everlasting memory you’ll have is an evening spent with friends and family by gathering around the table for hours, then ending the day with an outdoor cinema viewing. We’ll take care of the cocktails and bust out the popcorn machine, while you lay on the bean bags to watch the film by the pool.
